After it is typed, it isusually photographed and placed on a dupli-cating master. Use of the photo-ready copy isespecially desirable when a number of an-nouncements need to be placed in a single wor-ship bulletin. The material can be reduced in sizein order to provide space for a maximumnumber of announcements in a standard sizebulletin. The standard worship bulletin form is 8-1/2inches (from top to bottom) by 11 inches (fromside to side). The form is divided in half, conse-quently, one page of the bulletin is typed on eachhalf. The form is 132 typing spaces wide (for12-pitch type), therefore, each side (page) will be66 spaces wide.Experience has shown that typed lines con-sisting of 54 spaces on each side or page workswell. The outer left margin and the outer rightmargin should each be four spaces. This leaveseight spaces each to the left of center and rightof center. More space is needed in the center toallow for folding the bulletin.FIRST STEP.—Using the illustration infigures 6-6A and B as an example, clear all of thetypewriter tabs and set the left margin four clearspaces from the left edge of the paper. This willgive the correct point to begin typing for thebody of the bulletin on the left side. Next, space53 times and set the tab. This setting will serve asthe right margin for the left side of the bulletin.Return the typewriter carriage to the left margin, count off 26 spaces and set the tab.
